英漢對照：向老板提出加薪的正確打開方式

If you’re looking for a raise, or looking for a new job and dread the question “so how much are you looking to make,” you’re walking into a minefield that could either result in you making a good, fair wage, or getting underpaid from the start.
如果你期望加薪，或者尋一份工作卻害怕被問“那么你希望拿多少薪水”，那你便走入了雷區，不是最后報酬不菲便是從一開始就待遇偏低。
Here are some things to avoid when it’s time to talk turkey.
該開誠布公時就要避免以下幾點:
Negotiating by email or chat

Overlooking other perks available for the job or included with your job

Being afraid to make the first move

Giving in to your nerves and letting the conversation run away from you

You should absolutely consider your job’s other benefits or at least negotiate them when you talk about your whole pay package. Are you giving up something like flex time or remote work in exchange for coming into the office every day for a little more money?
你一定要考慮你工作有沒有其它好處，至少在討論整體薪資的時候要考慮進去。你是不是放棄了靈活工作和遠程工作的機會，就為了多拿點薪水而每天要進辦公室坐班?
Making the first move is fine, as long as you’re well aware of your value and the value of your skills and qualifications.
